T ERMS reduced, in this Famous Institute, for thorough, practical teaching, in STENOGRAPHY, TYPE- WRITING and BOOK-KEEPING, to worthy, ambitious young men and women seeking lucrative employment, and coming well recommended, with a fair English Education. STENOGRAPHY, TYPEWRITING AND BOOK-KEEPING, young men and women would learn thoroughly and practically, if they knew how they could be aided in securing lucrative employment, free of charge. For the three studies, day, $20; evenings, $10 per term.
TYPEWRITING-There is a special demand for first-class Sten- ographers and Typewriters, who can transcribe their shorthand notes satisfactorily. This school has just been equipped with all the best, modern, up-to-date typewriters. They can be learned in one term for which we charge $10.
THE ENGLISH COURSE consists of Reading, Writing, Spelling, Grammar, Composition, Letter Writing, Literature, Rhetoric, Physiology, History, Geography, etc. Merchants and business men will agree with us, when we say that besides Penmanship, Arithmetic, Business Forms and Book-keeping --- important as these unquestionably are-there are other things, without a knowledge of which, a good business education cannot be considered as complete. Among these we would particularly mention correct Spelling, Punctuation and a sufficient acquaintance with the rules of Grammar and Composition to enable the student to compose either a good letter, business card or advertisement. For the acquisition of these accomplishments the ambitious student will find in our Institution the most ample facilities. The full English Course, per term, day, $25; evenings, $15. One year, day, $75; evenings, $45.
LINOTYPE OPERATING taught correctly, quickly and thoroughly, in KISSICK's BUSINESS INSTITUTE-the only institute in the world where it can be learned.
P REPARATORY DEPARTMENT, for those who are backward or whose early education has been neglected. Such will receive individual instruction in the studies they require.
