HAMILTON COLLEGE.
This Institution was chartered in 1812, and is located in the Vil- lage of Clinton, nine miles south of Utica. Its permanent productive funds amount to nearly $100,000. It has a large stone chapel, and three four-story buildings for the use of students. The libraries contain 12,000 volumes, and the cabinets 13,000 specimens. The number of students is 143 ; of whom fifteen are members of the May- nard Law School. The fall term opens on the second Wednesday in September ; the winter term, on the first Wednesday in January ; the summer term, on the fourth Wednesday in April. The Junior Exhibition is held on the first Wednesday in April; Clark Prize Exhibition, on the second Wednesday in June; Commencement, during the third week of July.
