PREFACE.

To meet an apparent demand, and to give it as wide a circula- tion as possible, it was thought advisable to issue a cheap edition of my Directory, and this volume is the result. It is in every respect the same as the $2.00 bound volume, excepting that the "Introductory " is omitted, it is printed on thinner paper, and put up in paper instead of muslin covers.

For all practical purposes, as a Directory, it is the same ; and the price being much less, it will no doubt be acceptable to a large class of persons to whom a Directory is desirable, but who did not feel able to subscribe and pay for the more expensive edition. It will be sold exclusively by an agent who will can- vass the city for that purpose.

SANDUSKY, Sept., 1867.
