FOREWORD

The present issue of the Roster has been prepared by the Assistant Secretary General, Mr. William Marbury Beall, and contains a list of officers and members as of 11 May 1944, though addresses, so far as possible, have been brought up to date.

Though Mr. Beall has made every attempt to produce an accurate list, the compilation makes no claim to lasting accuracy, particularly as concerns addresses, as these are con- tinually subject to change, especially under war conditions. The compiler will regard it as a favor to have his attention called to any errors or omissions.

A notation has been made where members are known to have received a degree of doctor, either in course or as an honorary distinction. Decorations awarded by the United States, and the cross of the Legion of Honor by France, have also been noted.

FRANCIS A. FOSTER,

Secretary General.
