BRANT BIBLE


In Possession of Warren Satterfield, Kyles Station Road, Butler County, Liberty Township, Chio. The Mulfords, ancestors of the Brant family, immigrated from Wales to East Hampton, Rhode Island, where they settled. Jeremiah Mulford, the first, second and third died there. Hannah Mulford, born 15 October 1725 was the wife of William Brant, the first. She died September 14, 1785, aged 59 years. As near as can be ascertained, the Brant family immigrated from Holland to New York. William Brant the first about the year 1600, william Brant the second to Newark and then to Springfield, still belonging to the Newark, N. J., parish where they went to meeting.

William Brant/had three sons: David Lewis, William, and David, as well as three daughters, and settled in Morris County.


William Brant III had one son and three daughters: William, Gemima, Phebe, and Elizabeth. He settled by his father William Brant II in Connecticut Farms,

New Jersey. In the year 1721. He died 23 March 1747, his wife Elizabeth Osborn d. 1 Feb 1772, aged 75 years.


William Brant IV settled on the homestead where he lived and died in 11 Aug 1798, aged 76 years. He had three sons and two daughters: Jonathan, William, Matthias, Mary and Hannah. Matthias Brant lived and died on the homestead. He died 4 Feb 1845, aged 83 years. His wife Prudence died 13 Jan 1844, aged 78 years. They had two sons and four daughters: Hannah, Mary, Elizabeth, Sarah, William and Matthias:

Enos S. Brant died at his home 7 Dec 1943, ae 78 yrs old, widow Lona Brant and a sister Emma Crane surviving buried Greenwood Cemetery, Hamilton Chio. Born Bethany, Ohio 3 Nov 1865, son of Stacy and Harriet Scudder Brant married Mamie Griffis 16 Jan 1889 had one child: Mrs. Alfa Brant De Haven, both wife and daughter died 1931, married (2) 5 Feb 1938, Mrs. Lona Van Ness Washburn, widow of Will Washburn.
