GUIDE TO THE STREETS, AVENUES, AND ALLEYS.

EXPLANATION.

1

Ir will be noticed that in this Street Directory the names of the streets are set down in alphabetical order, enumerating all streets which cross the same in the order which they occur. The number on one corner has been given, so that a person wishing to find say No. 833 Superior street, on consulting the Street Directory, finds that it crosses Sterling av. at No 829 and Waring street at 841, consequently the place he seeks is between the two streets, and but a few doors from Sterling av. Where no numbers are designated the corners are either vacant or built up with a church or a school.

ABBREVIATIONS .- N. for North; N. E. for North east; N. W. for North west; S. for South; S. E. for South east; S. W. for South west; E. for East; W. for West; sq. for square; av. for avenue; al. for alley; fr. for from.
