CONFESSION OF FAITH.

Ist. We believe in one only living and true God, the Fathe the Son, and the Holy Ghost, who created all things, and uphol and governs all creatures and their affairs, according to the hol wise and eternal counsel of His own will.

2d. We believe the Scriptures of the Old and New Testamen to be the inspired word of God, and the only sufficient and i fallible rule of faith and practice.

3d. We believe that God at first made man in his own imag and entered into a covenant of life with him on condition of pe fect obedience ; and that our first parents, by transgressing tl command of God, fell from their state of holiness, and broug sin and misery upon all their posterity.

4th. We believe that God so loved the world that he gave hour only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to assume our nature, and by has sufferings and death to make atonement for sin ; and that throughou his atonement all who repent and believe in him are pardoned ar sanctified, and will finally obtain eternal life.

5th. We believe that all men are by nature so wholly oppose to the government of God, and so averse to the Gospel, that noi do repent of sin and believe in Jesus Christ, except through tl influence of the Holy Ghost on their hearts.

6th. We believe that God has established a visible Chur( among men, with which it is the duty of all Christians to be united that Baptism and the Lord's Supper are ordinances of the Christia Church, which, together with the Christian Sabbath, are of pe petual obligation in the Church.

7th. We believe that there will be a Resurrection of the Dea and a final Judgment ; after which the wicked shall go away in everlasting punishment ; but the righteous into life eternal.

To these articles of our faith, as far as understood, do you gi- your cordial assent ? [The candidate will answer, "I do."]
