The system of instruction combines practice and theory in a more thorough and complete manner than in any similar establishinent.
The course in Book-keeping embraces such practical and scientific information as to im- part a complete mastery of the subject in its various departments. Students are not only taught theoretically, but initiated into all the practical routine connected with keeping books in the most extensive business houses ; buying and selling for cash and on time, shipping and receiving goods per order, on commission, and joint account ; making out bills of lading, in- voices, and accounts current; effecting insurance ; rendering account of sales ; writing let- ters ; making remittances ; drawing checks ; dealing in domestic and foreign exchange, and negotiable paper generally ; making deposits ; discounting paper in bank, &c., thus embracing the most extensive practical course to be found in the West.

COMMERCIAL ARITHMETIC.
Those who complete a course at this institution will be made rapid and correct arithme- ticians. It includes all the short and improved methods connected with Business Computa- tions.
BUSINESS FORMS AND CORRESPONDENCE.
This feature is peculiar to this institution, and it receives that attention which its import- ance demands. Students are made thoroughly familiar with every document used in Busi- ness, and instructed in the principles and practice of Composition in such manner as to enable them to become good business correspondents on the completion of the course.
LECTURES, ETC.
Students will receive constant drilling by a system of Lecturing and Blackboard instruc- tion in the different subjects connected with the course. As a writer and lecturer on commer- cial subjects, the ability of the Principal of this institution is known and recognized by the business public of this city.
LADIES' DEPARTMENT.
