The Naval Reserve organization in the Providence metropolitan area is comprised of Organized Surface Battal- ion 1-8, Organized Submarine Division 1-41, and Organized Construction Bat- talion Company 1-6. Organized Surface Battalion 1-8 is comprised of four or- ganized Surface Divisions. When at full strength, they will have a total membership of approximately 150 of- ficers and 1400 enlisted men
