Annual Town Meeting for the election of Town Officers-The first Monday in May, beginning at 10 o'clock A. M.


The Annual Town Meeting for the purpose of ordering a Town School and Highway Tax-The second Monday in May, beginning at 10 o'clock A. M.

VOTE ORDERING TAX, JUNE 21st, 1920.


RESOLVED, That the electors of the Town of Narragansett, qualified to vote on any proposi- tion to impose a tax, in town meeting legally assembled on this 21st day of June, A. D. 1920, hereby order the assessment and collection of a tax on ratable real estate and tangible personal property of one dollar and seventy-five cents on each one hundred dollars of the value thereof, and on ratable intangible personal property of forty cents on each one hundred dollars of the value thereof; said tax is for ordinary expenses and charges (and sinking funds,) for the payment of interest and indebtedness in whole or in part of said town, for the payment of the town's proportion of the state tax, and for other purposes authorized by law. The board of assessors shall assess and appor- tion said tax on the inhabitants and ratable property of said town on the sixteenth day of August, A. D. 1920, at five o'clock in the afternoon, according to law, and shall, on completion of said assessment, date, certify and sign the same, and deliver to and deposit the same in the office of the town clerk on or before the fifteenth of September, A. D. 1920. Said tax shall be due and payable on the 15th day of September, A. D. 1920, and all taxes remaining unpaid on the first day of November, A. D. 1920, shall carry until collected a penalty at the rate of ten per centum per annum.
