We made many changes to the site over the last couple of weeks. We fixed some errors in the links and their titles that we located.
We changed the newspaper pages so that the US Newspaper Directory newspapers are listed at the bottom of the newspaper section so that it’s easier to locate the online newspapers first.
We added more information to the city pages so that the most significant records for the county are also listed on each city page.
We made small editing changes to many of the articles.
We changed the name of the Brick Wall Ancestor Series to be Brick Wall Case Studies instead so that it was more clear what the articles are about.
We added the latest newspapers from Newspapers.com, Genealogy Bank, and Chronicling America.
We’re now up to 1,114,893 records in our directory!

We added a new logo to our site. We also removed and corrected some broken links, which brought our numbers down slightly to 1,111,225 records.
We also added a new article on Locating Offline Newspapers that gives helpful tips for locating historical newspapers in the U.S. that haven’t yet been digitized online.
