WOODMEN OF THE WORLD.


The Woodmen of the World was organized in 1890 as an international fraternity. It at present oper- ates throughout the United States, Canada and Mex- 1co. It has 160,000 members in the entire Order. The Pacific jurisdiction consists of the nine Pacific Coast States, and is a seperate beneficiary jurisdic- tion. Its head offices are in Denver, Colorado; F. A. Falkenburg, Head Consul; Gen. John W. Brown- ing, Head Clerk. The Pacific jurisdiction has 462 camps and 37,000 members. The Woodmen of the World is a fraternal beneficiary society, confined to white males, between the ages of 21 and 44 inclusive. It carries one, two or three thousand of beneficiary, and places a monument over its deceased members' graves. OLYMPIC CLUB. Location, 524 Post street. The largest and most complete organization of its char- acter in the world. Membership, 2500 adults and 256 juveniles. Large classes of ladies attend its gym- nasium for athletic training. The building erected by the club contains a magnificent swimming tank. and the parlors, halls, and various apartments are modern and beautiful in all their appointments.
