Two Old Banks Consolidated
The Savings and Loan Society is the oldest Savings Insti- tution in the West. Since 1857 it has been the depository for funds of Californians. The Savings and Loan Society consolidated with the Savings Union Bank of San Francisco in Septem- ber, 1910.

The Consolidated Banks in New Location
Nearly as old in point of years is the San Francisco Savings Union, organized in 1862. In order to more clearly identify it as a Bank the name was re- cently changed to Savings Union Bank of San Fran- cisco. The new location of the Consolidated Banks is in the heart of the new retail district at the junc- tion of Market Street, with O'Farrell Street and Grant Avenue.
