Workmanship and Materials
! No expense has been spared in making the 1919 Directory a work that should be in every local citizen's hands. The compiling was done by men of experience and the composition and press work were executed by men who rank high as compositors and pressmen.
!| The body of the book is printed on egg shell Dresden paper stock purchased from the well- known Sierra paper company. The inserts are Duchess coated book, also purchased from the above-named company.
Not to make any mistake about the selec- tion of inks, the California Ink Company was visited and it was decided to use their Quick Setting Black. The even distribution and the rich glossy appearance of the printed pages speak favorably of the high quality of this reasonably priced ink.
A city directory is not suited for perma- nent use unless it is well bound, and that there might be no mistake about this part of the work, the job was placed in the hands of the Glass Book-Binding company at 438 Wall street, Los Angeles. An examination of the workmanship will convince you that this com- pany does excellent work.
Now, in concluding, may we ask you to recommend this directory to your friends, tell- ing them of its worth in the office and in the home? The price is $4 per copy. Place orders early to insure getting a copy.
