I stayed home raising two 'wild' sons until about 12 years ago when I went to work in the book- keeping dept. of a bank. I stayed for one year & had a scare with cancer. It's been a year since my surgery and so far so good. My husband taught in two junior high schools here, then went to Wasson High School where he was head of the math dept., head baseball coach and assist. basket- ball coach. Darrell was also commanding officer of the Naval Reserve

unit here. He's now on the Admirals Staff out of Denver. He moved to a new high school that opened this fall and is head of the math dept. as well as what is called 'Cluster Coordinator.' This school is more towards 'careers.' This was a promotion and the glorious part was that he gave up coaching. What a pressure filled job coaching is. I have had more athletes at my dinner table. We are both very active in our church and stay busy with two athletic boys that are also very musical . I about die when I realize that my son is starting high school next year . Didn't we just graduate ? "

Our son Jeff graduated from CSU in Dec. as a Journalism major. He will be moving to Western Germany this summer to work for Young Life & the Lutheran Church to help start a new Young Life program with handicapped kids. Our daughter Jeanie is attending college at Univ. of Northern Colo. majoring in education. Steve is a junior at Manitou High, Martha is a freshman, Suzanne is in the 3rd grade and Patricia in the 1st. In the summer our children have been working at various jobs and selling popcorn from the family's 1898 Cretor popcorn wagon (it used to be horse-drawn) . U. after a year of good hell- raising and bad grades and held a half-dozen crummy jobs until I joined the Navy for 4 years and learned electronics. After the Navy, I resumed at C.U. part-time and finally received a BSEE degree in Dec. '69. Pat and I were married in '65 and we moved to Broomfield in '70. Pat is a housewife/bookkeeper. I've worked for the National Center for Atmospheric Research in Boulder for 14 years. My primary job is to design and build air sampling instruments to be flown on sounding rockets and huge research balloons. We have flown rockets at the White Sands Missile Range and balloons all over the U.S. and in Canada and Argentina. Next year, we plan to go to Africa. It's a good thing because I married a non-traveler - although he's coming around. Ernie is a native of Seattle and a partner in a family-owned road construction business. We have 2 neat boys who keep us very busy and give us lots of laughs. They're old enough now to join us in skiing, boating, and tennis which is how we spend our spare? time. So - if the next 20 years are half as good we'll have no complaints ."

Decided the city wasn't where we wanted to raise the girls so in May 1968, we moved to Russell's hometown, Cimarron, Kansas - population 1,500 people. So small that there were no street addresses until 1974. We farm and barber here & bought the Ford Dealership in the fall of 1971 (Barbara is the bookkeeper.) It keeps us busy. Our girls are growing & soon into college. We are very active in 4-H. The 2 middle girls play basket- ball & have been Sub-state finalist 3 years in a row. We, of course, are interested in girls basketball, golf and kids. Lots of things happen over the years . This little bit doesn't make a dent in what's going on."

Cheri is working for Transamerica Title now and attended Greeley until Christmas last year. Nancy is at Fairview High and Vo-Tech and works for Boulder Manor nursing home as a nurses aid. Kandi is at Burbank Junior High and works part time at The Red Barn. Bob and I have been married since September 1972. He was in the class of '48 at Boulder High. He lettered all 3 years in football and football captain his senior year. We have had some wonderful trips together and with the kids. Camping and fishing is probably our favorite recreation. I went to work full time as a secretary in Real Estate 42 years ago. I have been with Moore and Company Realty in Boulder (formally Nein and Co.) for 2 years now." D. in Ch. Eng. at Univ. of Wash. in Seattle in 1967. Got married in Oct. 1967 and took a 3-month business-pleasure trip to Europe immediately afterward. Settled down in the real world in Richland, Wash. & went to work for Battelle Northwest. Was finally able to pursue a long time interest in flying, & took flying lessons - earning a private pilot's license & an instrument rating. In Nov. 1970 accepted an offer from N.C. State Univ. for a faculty position in Forestry School, and moved to Raleigh. Have just recently taken a job with Weyerhaueser Co. in Everett, Wash., so will be moving back to the Northwest in late August ."

Dick is President of U .N. O. Distributing Co. in Denver. Family time together is spent skiing, tennis, and camping. "Attended Univ. of Colo., left in 1959 to attend Aviation Cadet School - U.S. Air Force. Returned to Univ. of Colo. in 1961. Married Karan June 12, 1964. In 1964 began work for IBM Denver in Sales Admin. In 1966 became associated with Roy J. O'Donnell Co. - Mfg. Rep. in Denver. In 1971 we formed the UNO Distributing Co., distributors of consumer electronic products covering Colorado, So. Wyo., W. Nebr. and Kansas."
