The above table includes all buried in the city burial ground and for the three last years those intered at the Almshouse are included, and for the two last years those intered at the Village of Fair Haven are also in- cluded.


To find the mean duration of life in the city for the 10 years, divide the mean population of the city for said 10 years including Hotchkifs Town but leaving out Fair Haven and the Alms House by 142.3, the aver- age of annual deaths for said place. V. M. Dow
