Gentlemen:

In ordering the copies of the Atlanta Directory for the year, which are to be used in the Atlanta Post Office, and its numerous stations and branches, I am im- pressed with the fact that too much emphasis cannot be put upon the value of the latest Directory with its revised list of names in connection with Post Office work.

Thousands of letters are constantly received bearing erroneous addresses, or with the street address omitted altogether. Practically all this mail has to be handled by clerks whose duty it is to search the Directory for the proper addresses. This means a delay in the delivery of mail matter, and a great amount of clerical labor.

Terminal Station

If patrons of the Post Office would take pains to consult current Directories, they would receive much better service, while the Post Office would be relieved of a great amount of labor which it is now obliged to perform. Respectfully,
