INTRODUCTION
The parks are under the administration of a park board. Nevada is the grain center of Story County, serviced by two modern elevators, one on each railroad.
Nevada's modern, up-to-the-minute stores, which cover ten city blocks, carry all lines of merchandise, which attract shoppers from a wide trading area. Socially and economic- ally, the city of Nevada has much to offer its residents. Its churches, its schools and its community activities all tend to provide a healthful, wholesome atmosphere, important, alike, to young and old.
Nevada is a city of beautiful trees. Its well-kept lawns and attractive homes reflect the spirit of friendliness for which its people are noted. Nevada may well be called "The City Beautiful."
