Judge C. C. Cole, lowa's eminent jurist, adds his testimony to the skill of Lew Arntz. Judge Cole's life has been one of unusual activity and he even now at the age of 80 years, does more than ordinary work as dean of the Iowa College of Law. The testimony of Judge Cole carries with it the weight of a man of wide knowledge, sober and conserv- ative judgment. Judge Cole says :

Dear Sir: It has been my good fortune, in connection with the teaching of law, to deliver lectures for many years on medical jurisprudence to both legal and medical classes. In the course of lectures I have taught that generally the visual capacity of the average individual was reduced twenty

per cent at fifty years; thirty per cent at sixty ; forty per cent at seventy and fifty per cent at eighty years of age. I have just about reached that last goat and find my teaching practically verified. I desire there- fore, to say that by your experienced judg- ment in testing my eyes and skill in fitting glasses to them you have greatly reduced the percentage of impairment of sight by increas- ing years and t want to thank you for the aid I have had by reason of your judgment and skill in preparing glasses for me. L. F. Andrews Commends Lew Arntz's Skill
Eminent Newspaper Correspondent Ex- presses Satisfaction over Lew Arntz' Method of Correcting 1 Errors of Refraction.
Mr. L. F. Andrews, one of the earliest newspaper men in the city and for many years connected with the lowa State Regis- ter, expresses satisfaction over the removal of all defects of visual ailments by bifocal glasses prescribed by Lew Arntz. Mr. An- drews in addition to his journalistic work, is also a sanitary expert and for 18 years was connected with the state board of health. He has compiled much valuable statistical mat- ter and is at present state examiner of gaso- line lamps. Although 76 years of age, he is an active staff writer for the Register and Leader, and his articles on the early! history of Des Moines and lowa are read and throughout the state. praised Regarding tl benefit to his vision derived through Lew Arntz, The Optometrist, he says:
