HILL'S PREMIUM WINDOW TIGHTENER & SUPPORTER

The Public have long felt the want of something which is

Both Durable and Effectual,

As a TIGHTENER AND SUPPORTER FOR WINDOWS,-Something that will HOLD THE SASH AT ANY POINT the same as cords and weights, and also to PREVENT THEM FROM RATTLING, and KEEP OUT the DUST and COLD when the Windows are closed, thereby saving the expense of Double Windows. These results have been accom- plished by this invention, ( patented, ) which consists in grooving one edge of the ash, and fitting into the groove a hard-wood strip, which is firmly held in its place by Stirrups and screws, and is pressed outwardly sufficiently hard against the casing, by Springs, to hold the Window up at any height. This is unlike the Rubber Moulding so called, which is nothing more than stiff cloth, slightly coated with rubber, and is in sight, while our Tightener is out of sight and does not disfigure the window. The Rubber Moulding soon becomes unpliable and stiff. We have put Hill's Patent into many Windows where they have had the Rubber in but a short time.

Windows refitted and Tightencr applied, or Trimmings furnished by
