Factory deliveries, viz : 7:15 and 10:30 a m and 1:30 p m. Sunday, General Delivery Department only, open from 9 to 10 a m. Three city collections by the carriers are made at 2:30, 3 :30 and 8:30 p m. One collection out- side business portion at 3 :30 p m.
Postage-The postage on letters to be forwarded in the mails to any part of the United States is 2 cents per ounce, prepaid by stamp. The postage for letters dropped in this office for delivery in the city, 2 cents per ounce, prepaid by stamp. Includes inland pos- sessions.
Canada and the British Possessions-Two cents per ounce ; prepayment compulsory.
Postage to all countries included in Universal Postal Union-For prepaid letters, 5 cents per first ounce, 3 for each additional ounce or fraction thereof; for unpaid letters received, 10 cents per ounce ; for postal cards, 2 cents each; for newspapers, if not over two ounces in weight, 1 cent for each; for books, other

printed matter, legal and commercial documents, pamphlets, music, visiting cards, photographs, pros- pectuses, announcements and notices of various kinds, whether printed, engraved or lithographed, 1 cent per each weight of two ounces or fraction of two ounces ; samples of merchandise, without value, 1 cent for two ounces. or fraction; merchandise of saleable samples, 5 cents per first ounce, 3 for each additional ounce or fraction thereof.
Letter rate of postage to England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales and New Foundland is 2 cents an ounce or fraction of an ounce.
Letter rate of postage to Germany is 2 cents an ounce or fraction of an ounce for letters dispatched on ships going direct to that country. If it is desired to dis- patch letters on first ship going via England pr France, the regular international rate will apply, viz: 5 cents for the first ounce or fraction of an ounce, and 3 cents for each additional ounce or fraction of an ounce. The new letter rate does not affect the rate of postage on cards of these countries. 1
Registration-Valuable letters to any part of the United States and Canada and the Universal Postage Union will be registered on application, for which a charge of 10 cents (in addition to postage) will be made.
