TURNER CEMETERY


One mile south and two and one- half miles east of Sharpsville. An early day burial ground. A man by the name of Praul who froze to death was probably the first burial and the second the fifteen year old son of Messic Turner. The lad was killed by a falling tree. The place is no longer used for burial purposes. The plot is 4x6 rods and contains about 30 graves. Among the number who have no markers are members of the families, Smiley, Campbell, McGuire, Chism and Cox. The last person to be buried there was Mrs. Mollie ^lanbaugh in 1887.
