SHARPSVILLE CEMETERY
This is one of the most beautiful burial places in Tipton county. It is located at the southeast edge of Sharpsville.
The first person to be buried in this cemetery was a child of William Riggs, that died of scarlet fever in 1850. The second was John McGee. Names of pioneers as taken from markers follow :

STDNER CEMETERY
Located 2 1/2 miles southwest Nevada, selected as a burial place in the early fifties. Some of the children of William and Mrs. Sidner, owners of the land at that time are buried here. Also the first wife of Jack Burns and some of his children. John Barlow and his wife, Patsy( Thorpe) Barlow.

Also Thomas Plake who met his death in Sharesville, being stabbed by a man named Glasscock. There are no markers for any of the graves and little evidence of its ever heino used as a grave yard, The place is held sacred and the small plot of ground where lies the remains of these first citizens is undisturbed by the plovman.
