HE FRENCH LICK SPRINGS issue in a beautiful valley, surrounded by an undulating picturesque region. The water of the Springs flows from rock-lined apertures and is enclosed by stone casements. Its tem- perature is uniformly 55° Summer and Winter. The new hotel, containing two hundred rooms with new furniture, carpets, etc., is now complete and ready for the accommodation of guests. The old hotel has been thoroughly rebuilt and refurnished, together affording ample capacity for the accommodation of five hundred guests. A large Club House, Billiard Hall and Ten-Pin Alley are connected with the house.
Lost River and Lick Creek afford Splendid Fishing.

CHE WEST BADEN SPRINGS property contains nearly seven hundred acres of meadow, pasture, grain, and garden. The hotel is situated on a high mound in the midst of a beautiful grove and consists of a large central building with two wings, each one hundred feet long and containing Dining-Room, newly refitted and refurnished, Ball-Room, two Parlors and a Reception Room, and can accommodate three hundred guests.
The Springs proper are situated in a beautiful valley, sur- rounded by majestic hills Circular basins, carved out of native whetstone rock peculiar to this region, encase the Springs, thereby retaining the natural gases in the water, which add greatly to their efficacy and flavor.
To the invalid the many cures effected by the proper use of these Waters for the last thirty years give the strangest assurance of relief. To those who are not get confirmed turalids the old masim that " an ounce of prevention is better than a pound of cure," conreys its own suggestion.
