INCORPORATED 1885.
P
RIC
THE INDICATOR Is issued monthly, Price $2.00 Per Annum, contains matter of particular interest to all Insurance Companies, Agents and Brokers of Life, Fire, Marine, Accident and Plate Glass Insurance, Real Estate Agents, Banks, Loaning Offices, Book- keepers, Clerks, Capitalists, Lawyers, Physicians, Manufacturers and Business Men. It contains from time to time special articles from the pens of some of the ablest writers in the country on insurance matters, which alone are worth more than the subscription price; gives list of fires, amount of losses, the companies writing on the risks destroyed, etc.
"The Indicator" wages an unrelenting war on "undergrounders," "wild cats," and all "shady" proceedings. Every wide awake Insurance Agent should take it. Every business man should take it.
PRICE $2.00 PER YEAR.
One subscriber writes as follows, viz. :
THE INDICATOR saved one of my patrons $3,000 and put over $100 extra commis- sions in my pocket; you may continue it indefinitely.
Another subscriber (a prominent banker and large property owner) writes:
You may send me THE INDICATOR for another year. I would not be without it for five times its price. It has warned me in time of many unreliable companies. I think property owners should pay more attention to the class of companies their property is insured in, and keep posted concerning the companies whose policies they hold. Whenever I place any insurance I always try to secure the policies of the companies whose advertisements appear in THE INDICATOR, for I know they are reliable.
The aim of " The Indicator" is to uphold the genuine and expose ana fight the shams of all kinds in insurance. Every agent representing an insurance company doing a legitimate, lawful business should subscribe for it. Address

1 This publishing house has its business offices and editorial room's on the top floor of the McGraw Building. It makes a specialty of various insurance publica- tions which find their way into every state and territory of the United States and throughout Canada. The publica- tions of this firm have a national reputa- tion among insurance agents as being honest and correct in every particular. Chief among these publications is the In- dicator, a national journal of insurance, which will soon' begin its eleventh year. The Indicator. has. " regular subscribers in every state . and ter- ritory in the union. The agents all' like the paper, take it, read it, and pay for it. The well-known reliability of the Indicator and the care exercised by its editors to verify everything before printing has earned for the paper an enviable reputation for truth- fulness, until it has become a well-known phrase among insurance agents throughout the country that „If you read it in the Indi- cator, it is so." The Indicator is issued the first of each month and can be had for the exceedingly low price of $2 per year. When asked why the company did not charge a higher subscription price, Mr. Leavenworth replied: "We would much prefer to. have several thousand subscribers that cheerfully pay $2 per year each for the Indicator than to have only a few hundred that begrudging- ly pay $4 or $5 per year." . This firm also publishes the Pocket Chart of Co-operative Life, Accident and Fraternal Association's. which has now reached the seventh year of publication, and the Indicator's Pocket Chart of Regular, Legal Reserve Life Insurance. Companies. Both of these charts are issued cach vear, with figures for the five years end- ing Dec. 31 preceding. Other publications issued by this firm are charts of both fire and life business in Michigan, both of which are used quite largely by insurance agents throughout the state; the Indicator's Com- bined Expiration Register and Line Book for Mire Underwriters; the Life Agents Tickler and Insurance' Record for Life Insurance Agents, besides various other publications, which our space will not perinit us to mention at this time.
Every new subscriber to THE INDICA- TOR gets a $1.00 book free, provided they write at once, and say where they saw this advertisement. Address,
