New coach Elwood Hoke was a senior at Manchester College. Decatur Catholic's 4-15 record was worst in school history. The only DCHS team which won fewer games was the 1922 team which went 3-5. Although the Commodores had a poor record, they did play sectional champ Monroe tough, losing to the Bearkatz 28-26 in two overtimes, 35-29, and 42-35 in the sectional. The Commodores had no seniors on the team this season .
