PREFACE.
We herewith present to our patrons Volume III of the ARLINGTON AND BELMONT DIRECTORY.
This book will be issued every two years. As there was some misunderstanding as to when our book would be issued, and misrepre- sentation made by other parties, we want to announce just when we shall publish it. The next number will appear in the summer of 1900.
Our thanks are extended to all who have aided us in any way in compiling, and who have responded to our inquiries for information, as well as to our advertisers and subscribers for their orders.
We believe in getting out a book that will be appropriate for the reading table at home as well as for the office and store.
Our list of advertisers includes the most enterprising merchants in, these towns. Our Belmont list would have been larger had we been a few months earlier, and had our patrons not been drawn into other schemes which were disappointing.
Respectfully, EDWARD A. JONES.

The Arlington Directory
Will be issued again in the Summer of 1900. It will be published regularly every two years. As there are all kinds of schemes and fake Directories and advertising cards around each year we want our patrons and the business men to remember when we issue the
REGULAR, LEGITIMATE
TOWN DIRECTORY.
As we spare no pains or expense to publish a good book we believe the business community appreciate it and like to be represented in it.
