Preface.

We herewith present to our patrons the fifth volume of the Ar- lington Directory. We have not included Belmont this year, but will publish it two years from now with the next issue of Arlington.

We are pleased to note the continued interest taken in our publication by our patrons, and can say we have more subscribers than ever before.

Our advertisers represent the leading and enterprising mer- chants of the towns represented, and we hope that those who use the book will note their advertisements and give them their pat- ronage.

We find there has been considerable change in the town during the last two years. We have taken out of our list many names and added many more.

We expect to issue this book regularly every two years.

Respectfully, EDWARD A. JONES.
