Monthly rates apply to all not taking ice the entire season, May to October 1.

This ice is made from the pure water of the UNDINE SPRING, is filtered and distilled before being frozen, and is consequently free from all sediment and dis- ease germs so common in Natural Lake and Pond Ice. It is also much cheaper than Natural Ice, as it is frozen so much harder, and is free from snow and dirt. It is highly recommended by all Chemists and Physicians, as being absolutely pure and healthful.

All Orders and Communications will Receive Prompt Attention.

INTRODUCTORY.

We are pleased to present to the public the new BROOKLINE DIRECTORY for 1893, being No. 4 of the series. We have endeav- ored to compile a concise and reliable Directory, and, therefore, feel assured that the improvement inaugurated last year, viz., dispensing with the needless repetition of the surname-simply printing it once at the head of each list-will continue to receive the same general favor which it is now accorded. We hope those who are disposed to be critical of its defects and imperfections will bear in mind the fact that our canvassers are dependent upon the inhabitants of a city or town for any information they may obtain, and that desired facts are often withheld, whereas, if each one would do his part, the book would soon become a model one. We shall constantly strive, regardless of trouble or expense, to maintain a high standard of excellence in the publication of the BROOKLINE DIRECTORY.

Our thanks are extended to the advertisers, and to all others who have rendered assistance.

Respectfully,

W. A. GREENOUGH & CO., Compilers, Printers and Publishers.
