TEXT Concord Jan. y: 4 174 the Selectmen met and appointed a Town meeting to be Held at the Town House in Said Town of Concord on the tenth day of January Currant at one of the Clock on Said Day to Con- sider and act on the following articules namly first to See if the Town will make answer to a Letter Sent to this Town by the Town of Boston wherein they Request our Sentiments Respecting the Late act of Parliament granting Liberty to the East India Company to Export their Jea into this and the other Provinces upon the Continent with a Duty thereon, thereby to Raise a Revenue to the King Contrary to Charter - agreeable to the Request of Capt. Jonas Heywood of others
Secondly To See if the Town will by their vote agree not to Consumer any Jea in their Respective families - and if agreed to - then To see if the Town will adjudge those who will afterwards Sell or use, any Jea in their families as Enemies to their Country or act any otherways on this articule as the Town Shall See Cause when assembled
