The revenues of this fate, are derived from taxes on the following objefts.


On all patented lands, except lots in towns, without regard to quality or fitua- tion, and on all entries of land, whether difputed or not, eight pence per hundred : affected by the falts or frethes, of the firit acres.


On every hundred pounds value of town lofs, with their improvements, two fil- lings.


On all white men of twenty one years of age and upwards, whether free or bound to forvice, and on all flaves and indented fervants of colour, between twelve and fifteen years of age, two fhil- ings.


On ftud horfes, various rates, which By be averaged at ten fhillings each.


On licenfed ordinaries, and houfes for piling fpirituous liquors, in finall quan- s, forty fhillings per annum.

In like manner all the lands in the flate are valved by diftricts or claffes. The' fifteen cents. quantities of lanos fobject to taxation at each rate, and of all other articles of rate- able property, as returned in confequence of the tax granted in the year 1794, are hereto fubjoined.


From the foregoing general rule of va.
