It will be seen by the above list that there are several in- stances where two or more streets bear the same name. This ought not to be, for it creates confusion and increases the clerical work of the assessors in registering and locating property.


We would suggest that at the annual meeting in March next, measures be taken to amend the town By-Laws so as to make it obligatory on the part of those laying out land into streets and house lots to submit the names of proposed streets to the proper authorities for their inspection and approval.
