THIS Establishment, which has been favorably known to the public for the last fourteen years, was damaged by fire, and the upper part of the building burnt, on the 14th of February, 1832. The Proprietors availed them- selves of that necessary suspension of business, to have the whole interior of the building constructed upon a new and better plan. They have now fitted up and re- established the Museum in a new and elegant manner, entirely different from what it was before. The saloons are spacious and lofty, and the accommodations for visit- ers throughout such as is hoped will meet entire appro- bation. A great number of new articles are now fitted up, among which are many paintings of great merit, several beautiful wax figures, and numerous miscella- neous articles.

THE Legislature of Massachusetts having recently passed an act imposing a prohibitory tax upon " Agents of Insurance Companies incorporated out of this Com- monwealth,"-the Agency of the Howard Insurance Company of New-York, ceases from this day ; but the undersigned will hereafter conduct the business of FIRE INSURANCE as President of the American Insurance Company of Boston.
