New State Cemetery VERSES

1/1 I shall be satisfied when I awake in His likeness.

1/2 At rest

1/3 Sleep on dear one and take thy rest God called thee home, he thought it best.

1/4 I go to find my lost and mourned for Safe in Thy sheltering goodness still Only a little while but short at best And time will waft us to the other shore. 1/6 How easy the soul that has left This wearisome body behind.

1/8 Beautiful, lovely, she was but given.

1/9 It was an angel that visited the earth.

2/1 The Lord is my shepherd I shall not want.

2/2 Blessed are they that die in the Lord.

2/6 Sleep sweet babes And take your rest

LO TOZA, 2/9 My home is in heaven.

2/16 Gone but not forgotten

3/1 Farewell belov'd companion dear Dispel your grief dry up your tear Your earthly loss is now my gain Since I am free from mortal pain.

3/14 Stranger, behold as you pass by As you are now so once was I. As I am now, soon you will be, Prepare for death, and follow me.

3/20 We hope to meet again.

7/3 In after-time we'll meet her.

7/5 God be with you till we meet again.

VERSES round

6 Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord.

Rev. XIV. 13

8 Farewell ! sweet home and partner dear: My darling child and all things here The happy hours are past If twas Gods will I'd willing stay But Jesus whispers me away And we must part at last.

9 Beloved one she did not fear to die Nor dread the cypress gloom Her faith beheld with cheerfull eye A bliss beyond the tomb.

10 This bud on earth now wither'd lies But blooms in heaven and never dies.

11 O! weep not for me my spirit has fled To mansions of rest in the sky The child you have loved is not sleeping and dead But gone to her father on high.

13 Sleep little children sleep, Not in the cradle nor crib. Not on thy Mothers breast Henceforth shal be thy rest But in thy Saviours arms.

14 Farewell Father Farewell Mother God will hear your deepest pain Farewell, too, dear weeping brothers Soon in heaven we'll meet again.

15 Sweet bud of hope, twas thine to bloom, In fairer climes, mid brighter sons. Sleep on, my babe, thou loved and blest, I would not break thy peaceful rest.

3 Calm be their sleep from care set free, When dying tears foll swift from thee. We would not call thee back again To this dark world of sin and pain.

4 Our little circle is broken, A youthful form has fled, And one among the dearest Is with the early dead.

5 Sleep in Jesus, blessed sleep, From which none ever wake to weep. Yet memory clings to one whose worth So matchless was while her on earth.
