Lucius Beebe Memorial Library WAKEFIELD, MASS.
This Library, established in 1856, is supported by tax- ation and by the income from trust funds, and is for the free use of all residents of Wakefield. Temporary residents, by giving satisfactory references, will be gladly offered its privileges.
APPLICATION BLANKS may be signed by any resi- dent and CALL CARDS will be issued on which shall be recorded the date books taken are "Due" and "Returned." .
If a call card is lost, it will be replaced in one week after notice has been given, or at once upon payment of five cents.
No book can be exchanged on the same day on which it is taken out.
Books must be returned to the Main Library or Branch from which they were taken.
MISUSE OF PRIVILEGES .- Two cents a day will be charged for books kept beyond the date "Due" as recorded on the card. If any book is lost or materially injured, the person to whom it stands charged will be responsible for its replacement.
MODIFICATIONS of these rules which may be made at any time will be posted in the Library.

TOWN MEETING, MARCH 13, 1922
Meeting called to order at 7.30 o'clock P. M. by Moderator Eaton who read the call for the meeting.
On Motion of F. H. Emerson.
Voted: That further reading of the warrant with the exception of the Con- stables' Return be omitted.

Article 1. To act upon the reports of town officers as published.
On Motion of S. T. Parker.
Voted: That the reports of town officers as printed be accepted and laid upon the table.
Article 2. To choose all town officers not required to be chosen by ballot. On Motion of F. H. Emerson.
Voted: That a committee of five be appointed by the chair to bring in nomi- nations for all the town officers, not chosen by ballot.
Article 3. To see if the town will authorize the Treasurer, with the approval of the Selectmen, to borrow money from time to time in anticipation of the revenue of the financial year, beginning January 1, 1922, and to issue a note or notes therefor, payable within one year, any debt or debts incurred under this vote to be paid from the revenue of said financial year.

Voted: That the town Treasurer with the approval of the Selectmen, be and hereby is authorized to borrow money on and after January 1, 1922, in anticipation of the revenue of the financial year beginning January 1, 1922, and to issue a note or notes therefor payable within one year, any debt or debts incurred under this vote to be paid from the revenue of the financial year be- ginning January 1, 1922, unanimous vote.

On Motion of Finance Committee.
Voted: That the town raise and appropriate the sum of $8,500.00 for the Light Department, of which $300.00 is for salaries and $8,200.00 for construc- tion account, and that the department be authorized to transfer the sum of $2,100.00 from the operating account to the construction account.
Street Lights
On Motion of Finance Committee.
Voted: That the town raise and appropriate the sum of $15,000.00 for street lighting, to be spent under the jurisdiction of the Board of Selectmen.

Voted: That the town raise and appropriate the sum of $57,151.25 for the Water Department, of which $29,000.00 is for maintenance, $14,000.00 for Bonds and notes, $5,851.25 for interest and $5,000.00 for services, $300.00 for salaries, $3,000.00 for construction.
SEWER DEPARTMENT
On Motion of Finance Committee.
Voted: That the town raise and appropriate the sum of $7,500.00 for the Sewer Department of which $2,500.00 is for maintenance and $5,000.00 for connections.
INTEREST AND MATURING DEBT
On Motion of Finance Committee.
Voted: That the town raise and appropriate the sum of $60,500.00 of which $37,000.00 is for interest during the year 1922, and $23,500.00 is for maturities during the year 1922.
Article 5. To see if the town will authorize the Water and Sewerage Board to relay the water main on Main Street from the intersection of Richardson street to the intersection of Water street, and on Water street from the inter- section of Main Street to the intersection of Valley street. To extend the water main on Jordan avenue, from the intersection of Albion street to the dead end opposite house of C. Doyle, and on Mountain avenue from the intersection of Albion street to a street on land owned by C. N. Winship, also on new streets laid out by G. H. Wetherbee, Jr., C. E., on land owned by C. N. Winship, lo- cated westerly of Jordan avenue, approximately a distance of 2400 feet .- Charles H. Learoyd.
Article 6. To see if the town will raise and appropriate a sum not exceeding $20,000.00 to relay and extend water mains in streets named in the preceding article, or authorize the Treasurer, with the approval of the Selectmen, to issue bonds, notes or scrip of the town of Wakefield, to an amount not exceeding $20,000.00 to provide necessary funds for carrying out any action voted under said article .- C. Article 7. To see if the town will authorize the Water and Sewerage Board to extend the sewer in Aborn avenue, from a point opposite house owned by H. W. Jackson, 100 feet easterly; in Stedman street from a point opposite house of W. B. Atwell, northerly to Chestnut street; in Prospect street, westerly 400 feet to opposite house of A. D. Cate; Albion street from a point opposite

Voted: That there be appropriated the sum of $13,000.00 for the purpose of constructing sewers in the streets enumerated in Article 7 of the warrant for the annual town meeting of 1922, and to meet said appropriations, the Treasurer with the approval of the Selectmen, be and hereby is authorized to borrow said sum and to issue bonds or notes of the town therefor, said bonds or notes to be payable in accordance with Section 19, Chapter 44, General Laws, so that the whole loan shall be paid in not more than thirteen years from the date of issue, or at such earlier dates as the Treasurer and Selectmen may determine. Article 9. To see if the town will authorize the Water and Sewerage Board to construct a sewer in Fairmount avenue, from Chestnut street to the house of C. N. Cogswell .- Charles H. Learoyd.
