Record of Town Meetings


ANNUAL TOWN MEETING, MARCH 10, 1941


Meeting called to order at 7.40 P. M. by Moderator Thomas G. O'Connell, who read the call for the meeting.


On motion by Patrick H. Tenney:


Voted: That further reading of the warrant be dispensed with, with the ex- ception of the constable's return.

ARTICLE 1


To act upon the reports of Town Officers as published.


On motion by Harry Marshall:


Voted: That the reports of Town Officers be laid upon the table.


ARTICLE 2


To choose all Town Officers not required to be chosen by ballot.


On motion by Harry Marshall:


Voted: That the Moderator appoint a committee of five to bring in nomina- tions for all Town Officers not required to be chosen by ballot.


ARTICLE 3


To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Town Treasurer, with the ap- proval of the Selectmen, to borrow money from time to time in anticipation of the revenue of the financial year beginning January 1, 1941, and to issue a note or notes therefor payable within one year, and to renew any note or notes as may be given for a period of less than one year in accordance with Section 17, Chapter 44, General Laws .- John I. Preston and others.


On motion by Finance Committee :


Voted. That the Town Treasurer, with the approval of the Selectmen, be and hereby is authorized to borrow money from time to time in anticipation of the Revenue of the financial year beginning January 1, 1941, and to issue a note or notes therefor, payable within one year, and to renew any note or notes as may be given for a period of less than one year, in accordance with Section 17, Chapter 44, General Laws.

To see if the Town will vote to authorize various departments to purchase new equipment at net costs not exceeding amounts specified below, exchanging
