ANNUAL REPORT.
WARRANT,
BRISTOL SS. To either of the Constables of the Town of Dighton, in the County of Bristol, GREETING.
In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, you are directed to notify the inhabitants of the Town of Dighton qualified to vote in elections and Town affairs, to meet at the Town House in said Dighton, on Monday the Fifth day of March at nine o'clock A. M. then and there to act on the following articles :
1st. To choose a moderator to preside at said meet- ing.
2d. To hear the annual reports of the Town Officers and act thereon.
3d. To choose all necessary Town Officers for the year ensuing, including an Auditor or Auditors.
4th. To vote Yes or No on the question, "Shall licenses be granted for the sale of intoxicating liquors in this Town."
5th. To raise such sums of money as may be neces- sary to defray Town charges for the year ensuing and ap- propriate the same.
6th. To hear the report of the Auditor and act thereon.

7th. To see if the Town will accept the list of Jurors prepared by the Selectmen or act thereon.
8th. To see if the Town will allow a discount to persons making a voluntary payment of their taxes on or before some date that may be fixed by the Town and charge interest after a date the Town may fix.
9th. To see if the Town will authorize the Treasurer to hire money under the direction of the Selectmen to pay Town charges.
10th. To determine the compensation to be paid and the manner of repairing the highways, town ways and bridges for the year ensuing.
11th. To determine the compensation of the Treas. urer and Collector of Taxes.
12th. To see if the Town will instruct their Select- men to hire a Superintendent of the Town farm for the year succeeding their term of office.
13th. To choose three Fish Wardens.
14th. To choose three Oyster Wardens.
15th. To see what action the Town will take towards the completion of straightening, building and repairing bank wall and building fence on road leading from North Dighton Post Office to old wharf and appropriate one thousand dollars for the same agreeable to petition of Geo. A. Reed and 74 others.
16th. To see if the Town will elect a board of library trustees and appropriate the money necessary to secure the gift of one hundred dollars from the State.
17th. To see if the Town will instruct the Constable collecting unpaid dog taxes to collect his fees of the owners of said dogs.

building at the Town house and make appropriation for same agreeable to N. O. Walker and nine other's petition.
19th. To see if the Town will accept the provisions of Chap. 431 of the Acts of 1888, relating to the employ- ment of a Superintendent of Schools and appropriate money therefor.
20th. To see if the Town will vote to pay the sum of twenty-five dollars for the purpose of decorating the soldiers' graves in South Dighton and make appropriation for the same agreeable to petition of J. A. Lewis and nine others.
21st. To see if it is the opinion of the Town that the common necessity and convenience require that the Commonwealth should acquire as a State Highway any or either of our roads and to authorize the Selectmen to make the proper petition and procure suitable plans and profiles agreeable to the provisions of Chap. 476, Acts of 1893.
And you are directed to serve this Warrant by post- ing up attested copies thereof, one at each of the North Dighton and Dighton Post Offices, one at William O. Lee's Store, one at Goff's Meeting House, one at the Brick Meeting House, and one at the Town House, all in said Dighton, seven days at least before the time of hold- ing said meeting.
Hereof fail not, and make due returns of this Warrant with your doings thereon, to the Town Clerk, at time and place of meeting as aforesaid.
