ANNUAL REPORT.
During the year the settlement of George F. Cash and family so long in dispute has been acknowledged and our claim been paid by the Town of Yarmouth.
M. L. Cobb, Esq., of Boston has reimbursed the town for the board of Charles Cobb.
Mrs. Caroline Marvel has been visited at the Worces- ter Hospital and found to be in good health ; at times very violent.
We have hired a Supt. for the Town Farm at a salary of two hundred dollars per year for self and wife. We suggest that our poor might be supported advantageously. In connection with the management of Dighton and Berk- ley Bridge or the repairs of the highways, questions for your careful consideration.

Last spring the. Dighton, Somerset and Swansea Street Railway Co. was organized, and petitioned us for a Franchise and location on our streets. A very well at- tended hearing was held and after much discussion the meeting unanimously instructed us to grant this request, to place the track on the side of the road and to require the company to pay the expense of all widening of the streets which they used, deemed necessary by the proper tribunal.
We granted their request conditioned on your and many other requirements which they accepted. Agreeable to your instructions we asked the Road Commissioners to widen the road, which they have done, but owing to the delay in making settlements with land owners we are not able to report a reimbursement by the Electric Co., al- though they have been ready to pay any time when we could present a full bill.
