Three one hundred dollar funds were left with the town dur- ing 1908, viz .: from Mrs. Priscilla Hedge, Plymouth, for the benefit of the Reuben Sherman lot in Wenham cemetery; from Homer Southworth, executor, for the benefit of the Eben Smith lot in Union cemetery ; and from Benjamin Shurtleff, M. D .. of Napa, Calif., for the benefit of the Charles Shurtleff lot in Car- ver cemetery. Under the conditions of this last fund, one- half of the net income for every other year, beginning with 1910, may be used for the general improvement of the whole cemetery.

The town also has on hand in addition to the crushing plant, which cost $2,641.21, one five-ton wagon. scales and boat for getting stone at the pond, water tank, pump, plank, tools. etc., valued at $150.00, in addition to which there is still due the town from the state $85.00.

STONE CRUSHER PLANT.


The town voted $2.500.00 to purchase a stone crushing plant complete, plant to be purchased by the Road Commissioners. The Commissioners visited different plants in operation and de- cided on the Acme, which has given splendid satisfaction, crushing twenty-four hundred tons of stone without a break or expense on repairs. The outfit is as follows :


One Acme rock crusher and elevator, one 50-ton semi-porta- ble storage bin and screen, one 25 horse power Ajax engine mounted on 30 horse power locomotive boiler (butt seam), the whole mounted on metal trucks. Price complete, F. O. B. at
