Six stations Distances and fares from Boston are ,on the Central Massachu- setts, Weston, fourteen miles, 23 cents; ten rides, $2.00; fifty rides, $7.90; Cherry Brook, fourteen miles, 25 cents, ten rides $2. 25, fifty rides, $8.50; on the Fitchburg division, Stony Brook, twelve miles 25 cents, twelve rides, $1.90, fifty rides, $7.75; Kendal Green, thirteen miles, 27 cents; twelve rides $2.00; fifty rides, $7.90; Hastings, (flag) fourteen miles, 27 cents; twelve rides, $2.05; 100 rides $16.00; Silver Hill (flag,) fifteen miles, 32 cents; twelve rides, $2.50; 100 rides, $19.75.
Post Offices are Weston, Kendal Green and Stony Brook in the town. A few residents in the northern part receive mail from South Lincoln, and those in the south-eastern corner from Auburndale.
Population, 1, 710 in 1895; 1,834 in 1900; 2,091 in 1905. Registered voters 509. Town valuation, May 1, 1905 $5, 556, 452. Tax $9.20 per $1,000. No License.
Weston, a part of Watertown in 1630, a farmers' precinct in 1698, was incorporated as a town January 1st, 1712. Area 16.6 square miles. It is bounded by Lincoln on the north, Waltham and Newton on the east, Wellesley on the south, and Wayland on the west,
