The taking out of books for home reading is steadily on the increase be- vond the natural growth of population. If the circulation for last year is rep- resented by the figures 55, that of 10 years ago would read 40 and 10 years earlier than that 35. This may be a sign that the reading habits of the public which it serves are continually on the increase, or it may be that the library is better equipped today to meet the demands upon it than has been the case in the past. Appended are tabulated statistics pertaining to the library, also re- ports of other officers.
Respectfully submitted, JOHN D. PARSONS,
December 26, 1911.
