Greeting In his Majesties Name you are hereby Required to devy and Collect of the Several Seusons. Name in the List. here with Committed unto you. Each one his Respective Proportion. ( there in Set down ) of the Sun Total of Such list, being part of a Fax or afsegment agreed upon and Granted by the Inhabitants of the Said Town of Chelmsford. Regularly assembled the fourth Day of March. Anno Domini. 5766: for defining The necessary Charges avrgering within the Sais Fown the present year. And to Deliver and pay in the Sum and Sums which you Shall to Levy and Collect unto m" Samuel Perham Treasurer of the Saw tour And to Compleat and make up an account of your Collections of the whole Sum ator Before the thirteenth Day of December Next And if any Person or Persons Shall Neglect or Refuse to make payment of The Jum or Jums, whereat he or they are Respectively affected in the Said ist; you are to Distvam the Goods or Chattels of Such person or persons to the Value there of; And the Distress or Distræffes So taken to keep by the Space of four Days at the fost und Charge of the owner. And if the owner do not pay the Sum or Jums of Money To affeffer. upon him or them within the Suis four Days, the Said Distress or Distresses So taken you are to Expose and openly Sell at an outcry for payment of the Said Money and the Charges Notice of Such Sale being Postes up in Some Sublick place within the Same Four twenty- - four hours before hand; And the over plus comeing by fait Sale (it any be besides the Sum or Sums of the Afsegment. and the Charges of Jakeing and keeping the Distres or Distrettes to be Immediately Restore to the owner: And for want of Goods or thattels where on to make. Shall Receive the Town Fax or hate made this present year. which is Committed to the Constables of the Said Down to Collect : viz: To Receive of Benjamin Parhar Jun" one of the paristables of the Said Down : one Hundred and thirty four points four Shillings and Six pence.
