Together with many other articles for the use of the SICK and INVALIDS. Also, the largest and best assortment of
Atomizers and Nasal Douche,
To be found in the United States. A GOLD MEDAL has lately been awarded us by the Middlesex Mechanics Association, as will be seen from the following report, signed by a leading New England Surgeon and Physician : -
" 1503. CODMAN & SHURTLEFF, Boston, Mass. One Case Surgical Instruments and Atomizers.
" The Committee have no hesitation in awarding for this superb exhibition, the highest premium. * * * The various other instruments for inhalation of atomized liquids, and for Local Anæsthesia, were all apparently faultless, both in design and workmanship. The exhibitors are regarded as more especially deserving of the high- est token of merit for having produced nothing except their own manufacture. GOLD MEDAL. (Signed), GILMAN KIMBALL, M. D., Chairman."

BAYSIDE LIQUID SOAP For your own sake, read the following :
We sell the only per- fectly pure Soap in the world ! Nonsensel you re- ply. But is it nonsense ? Let us see. Our Soap is a liquid Soap. Every drop of it is soap, and nothing but soap. You can't make a solid soap without putting in "filling.". Many solid soaps are "filled " with ros- in. Buy a piece of rosin, and see how much cleansing power it has. None at all; you'll soon find that out. Reduce your bar soap to a liquid, take out the filling and other adulterations, and how much pure soap is left? Mighty little you'll find.
Now our Soap is a LIQUID, and that means a good deal. Thus, your bar-soap you have to rub, rub, rub, into the cloth, and then rub, rub, rub, out again; and you can't rub it all out either. Our LIQUID silently permeates the cloth, and is working away while you are asleep. and all you do to take it out is to rinse the cloth in clean water. Does it injure the fabric? Not one bit. Try this test; certainly a severe one: Take an eighth of a yard of bleached or unbleached cotton; cut it in halves; soak one half in a bottle of the liquid ten times the strength used in washing, and the other half in a bottle of pure water, each for a week, and see if you can find any more harm done to the piece soaked in the liquid of fourfold strength than to that soaked in the pure water. If you can, please notify us at once, as we are vitally inter- ested in the discovery. For the reason stated, viz., that this soap is in a fluid state, it is the best known for all toilet purposes. Try it in a bath and you will find a new pleasure in bathing. Try it as a shampoo. In fact use it wherever you require a cleanser, and your only regret will be that you have been so long without it.
