Mr. White is a man of fine natural abilities and his active business life has had the effect of making him a polished as well as a very inter- esting conversationalist, and he is strongly imbued with modern thought ; liberal, yet a consistent man in his religion as well as in politics; always conceding to his many friends the same privilege he so well enjoys, and in every good word and work he is ably seconded by his noble wife ..
