Conclusion
The addition of the Two-Way Radio to the equipment of the Department was the outstanding event of the year and it has in- creased the efficiency of the Department very materially.
The full measure of the value of the radio in the work of this Department cannot be estimated at this time, as new examples of its usefulness are being brought out almost every day.
Three members of the Department, Lieutenant Edward Johnson,

CITY OF QUINCY
Sergeant Daniel M. Shea and Patrolman William I. Bjornholm, died during the past year.
Two pensioned members, Sergeant Michael F. Canavan and Pa- trolman John P. Duffy, also passed away.
These men were all good police officers and their loss is keenly felt by us all.
In conclusion I wish to take this opportunity to thank His Honor Mayor Charles A. Ross and the members of the City Council for their helpfulness and consideration in dealing with the affairs of the Department.
I also wish to express my appreciation for the consideration shown to the Department and its members by District Attorney Dewing and the members of his staff, also to the Justices of the District Court, together wtih the Clerks, Probation Officers and Court Officers, who have all been very helpful.
I also appreciate very highly the devotion to duty and the loy- alty to the Department and to me, which has been shown by the actions of the various members of the Department during the past year.
Respectfully submitted,
ERNEST H. BISHOP, Chief of Police.
