The Committee to whom was refered the subject respecting repairing the Highways in the town of bhelms- ford, having met and duly considered the same, beg have to recommend The following for the con federation of the Town ,
The price which has been allowed by the Town of one Dollar and Twenty five cents per day for labor on the Highways be reduced to ten cents for. Hour, for an able bodeed man, ten cents hr. Hour for one hair of oxen and a cart
The Surveyors in the several distructs to regulate The working hours -
The Surveyors to have the power to receive the Jay in money from those who may choose to pay the same in preference to working out their Tax, and to lay out the same on the Highways to the best advantage.
The Surveyors be directed to refrain the roads immediately after being Swoon, should the same be necessary, and allow the amount of Labor donc to those who may be directed by them to work,, when they receive their Jax Bills
The price of Labor not to be reduced during the Season -
