PUBLIC SCHOOLS.


Eight members of the School Committee are elected annually at the City election, by the voters at large, including such women as may qualify for that purpose. Vacancies in the School Com- mittee are filled for the remainder of the municipal year in a convention of the School Committee and the Board of Alder- men. Regular meetings of the School Committee are held on the evenings of the second and fourth Tuesdays in each month, except in July and August. Office. Mason street, near West street.
