HOPKINS CLASSICAL SCHOOL.

-ON-

DANA HILL.

AT this School, boys may be thoroughly prepared for College or fitted for Mercantile and Scientific employments.

It is now more than thirteen years since the Subscriber first commenced teaching in Cambridge, and during this time he has had under his tuition more than two hundred different pupils, very many of whom have spent from four to seven years in the School. Some of them may already be found filling the most honourable and responsible situa- tions as Professional men, Teachers and Merchants.

The very liberal patronage hitherto bestowed upon the School, affords evidence that his untiring efforts to render it worthy of patronage have been appreciated ; and he hopes, by a continuance of these efforts and by the employ- ment of able and faithful assistants, to merit a continuance of public favor.

The School is subjected to thorough semi-annual exami- nations by the President and Professors of Harvard College so that parents placing their children at this School, have every assurance, that no omissions or defects on the part of the Teachers, will pass unobserved.

The arrangements of the School are such, that every pupil will be advanced as rapidly as he is prepared for it, without regard to classes, and in no case will the number of pupils be allowed to increase beyond the ability of the Teachers to render them thorough instruction.

Visitors are at all times welcomed to the School. Ap- plications for admission may be made, either at the School Room, between the hours of nine and two, in term time, or at the residence of the Subscriber, corner of Cross and Centre Streets, Cambridgeport.
