Berry's Patent Hames for Swinging Harness.
Invented August, 1873. Patented November, 1880. STRENGTH, DURABILITY, QUICKNESS, SIMPLICITY.
PHOTO ELECTROTYPE CO BOSTON.
This Cut represents the Hames patented by Charles E. Berry, and used in the Construction of Swinging Harness. They are of the "Extension" pattern, and can be made to FIT PER- FECTLY ANY COLLAR.
The material used in their manufacture is the finest wrought iron, and being joined at the top by a hinge, locks easily and without being guided. The method of suspension (also patented by Mr. Berry), is of the simplest, and after being placed in position according to instructions, can be relied upon in all cases, as the Entire Harness, being suspended by one rope, can be immedi- ately detached from the suspending rod by the driver pulling the reins.
The Hames and method of suspension are now in use in some of the finest Depart- ments of the Union, and have invariably given entire satisfaction.
