THEOCE. DELETSD

This delightful place for recreation is situated in the Town of Tyngsboro', Mass., about four miles from Lowell. By the margin of the lake are all the apparatus for the accommodation of parties, large or small. Cook-Houses, with Chowder-Kettles, Stoves, Crockery, Tables, and everything necessary for a feast amidst the whispering Pines. Refreshment Saloons, one for Ladies, and one for Gentlemen, Bowling Saloon, Dancing Platform, Swings, Ball and Pins, Cap and Ball, Hook and Ring, Quoits, Tilts, Air Guns, and innocent games and amusements of all kinds. The fleet of boats is unsurpassed in number or variety in these parts, consisting of Schooners, Sloops, Wheel- Boats, Club-Boats, Single and Double Scull Wherries, Canoes, Dories, Skiffs, and Fishing Boats, of all kinds. One Stone Cottage and one Log Cabin, furnished with Cook Stoves, Ice Chests, Bed- steads, Tables, Chairs, &c. Parties that wish to rough it for a long or short time can engage them, and not be disturbed by others. The grounds are cut up into pleasant drives and paths, set out with ornamental and forest trees, and scattered around are Busts and full-length Statues of the great and good, cut from solid blocks of wood, by a cunning worker in wood. Large Parties, Societies, Picnies, Military and Fire Companies, Lodges, and Clubs, that take an excursion dur- ing the hot months, will find this place free from the scum and fag ends of humanity that follow in their trail to places bordering on railroads. It is but nine years since the place was first started, but its popularity has far outstripped places much older. Its patronage has increased every year, and it is now considered an institution of this region.

OF LIVERPOOL, ENGLAND. PERCY M. DOVE, - MANAGER. Insurance against loss by FIRE, at current rates. Policies issued and all losses settled at the BOSTON OFFICE, Nos. 1 & 3 KILBY STREET. STEPHEN HIGGINSON, Agent & Attorney for the Company.

WILLIAM C. HIGGINSON, Surveyor.

This institution, one of the largest Insurance Companies in the world, was estab- lished in 1845; and the rapidity of its growth is attested by the fact that in twenty years from its commencement it has, without amalgamation, attained to an

Annual Fire Premium exceeding Two Millions of Dollars.

Among the causes of this unexampled success may be mentioned,

1st. The wise determination of the office, from the start, to make the entire secu- rity of the assured the paramount consideration; to which end the Reserve Fund has been annually increased, so that when the GREAT FIRE OF LONDON occurred in 1861, resulting in a loss to this office nearly reaching the ENORMOUS SUM of 400,000 DOL- LARS, the surplus funds held to meet such contingencies were not only sufficient, without encroaching on the capital of the Company, but they left far more than the amount then called for yet in reserve.

2d. PROMPTITUDE and LIBERALITY in the settlement of claims have largely contributed to secure for the Royal, wherever its business extends, the strongest posi - tion in the confidence of the public. The high character uniformly maintained by the company in this respect has been conclusively demonstrated by its honorable adjust- ment of losses incurred from fires in every quarter of the globe.
